My May Blossoms Favourite Listings

What better way to finish the month then a blog in tribute to all those artisans who have worked tirelessly to bring us new items every day during the month of May. Here comes the rain....AGAIN!

Is it me, or is the weather a little odd these days? It is cold wet and miserable here in Hampshire and I blame myself totally. I have been hanging out washing and trying to take photos of jewellery outside, that and it being half term, is sure to set the rain clouds rolling in. So, if you or your washing has been caught out in the rain recently, you know who to point the finger at! I thought I would bring you a positive montage of gorgeous rain related items from Folksy. Colours of Quartz

Quartz, I feel, is an under rated gemstone for it has so many stunning hues. All are well loved, especially the well known varieties of Amethyst (purple) Smoky Quartz (brown) Citrine (yellow) Rose Quartz (pink) There are many others including colourless - rock crystal quartz, black, blue, green and many others in-between. Some quartzes have other gemstones radiating through them, like the black needles of Tourmaline or golden needles of Rutile. Others have 'ghosts' of earlier growth that can be seen. I thought I would show you a montage of stunning pieces today - keeping away from the science bit for now, just so you can enjoy the beauty of this most versatile gemstone.
